This page documents how the recovered assessment works, how scoring is calculated, and what happens to results in this rebuilt package.
It is a self-assessment for transportation professionals and organizations. The individual path contains 15 questions across five dimensions; the organization path contains 20 questions across five dimensions. Both produce a five-level maturity result, dimension scores, and three recommended next moves.
The assessment was developed by the ITE AI in Transportation Great Idea Group for educational and professional-development use in the transportation profession.
The assessment identifies the AASHTO TSMO Capability Maturity Model, the AIRI framework, and Gartner's AI Maturity Model as inspirations, adapted for transportation professionals and agencies.
No. Results are for educational and professional-development purposes. They are a structured self-assessment, not an independent audit, certification, or determination of legal or regulatory compliance.
Use the Individual Professional assessment to evaluate your own knowledge and practice. Use the Organization Assessment to evaluate the current state of a department, division, agency, or other transportation organization. You can take both.
The individual assessment is designed to take about six minutes. The organization assessment is designed to take about eight minutes.
Answer based on where you or your organization are today, not where you hope to be. Honest current-state answers make the recommendations more useful.
Yes. Use the Back control during the assessment. Selecting an answer advances automatically, and a previous answer remains selected when you return to that question.
Each response is scored from 1 through 5. The assessment first averages the questions in each of the five dimensions, then averages those five dimension scores to produce the overall score shown on a 1.0–5.0 scale.
For individuals the levels are Explorer, Navigator, Practitioner, Champion, and Pioneer. For organizations they are Initiating, Developing, Defined, Managed, and Optimizing.
Yes. Each dimension contributes equally to the final score. The individual assessment has three questions per dimension; the organization assessment has four questions per dimension.
Use the dimension profile to see relative strengths and gaps, then start with the three recommended next moves for your current maturity level. Retaking the assessment later can help you reflect on progress.
No. The recovered assessment does not ask for a name, email address, employer, or other direct identity field.
The original client code was designed to submit a result payload to a server endpoint after completion. In this rebuilt package, collection is disabled by default. ITE can enable a same-origin endpoint later if aggregate analysis is desired.
The recovered payload includes an anonymous completion ID, assessment type, completion/start timestamps, duration, browser-reported time zone and language, screen size, answer values, dimension scores, overall score, and result level. It does not include a name or email address.
Yes. Use Start Over from the results page, or take the other assessment using the alternate assessment button.
Yes. A department or leadership team can discuss each item and agree on the response that best represents the current state. The assessment itself calculates one result per completed session.
